A conduit of the old world and the new, Resort 23 - Right Down the Line- is made up of a rich tapestry of textures inspired by summer in New York City.
Holding a sense of understated elegance and deeply honouring the years gone by, soft intricate embroidery as seen in the cotton cloth Thea Shirt, Abuela Hat and high waisted pencil Gina Skirt, applique and raw edge stitching combine with a palette of wasabi, sorbet, bone and birch.
Beautifully feminine, the Euri Dress, with its exaggerated frill detail around the chest; the Presley Dress with elevated cut-out detailing; and the cross over halter Aspen Top, effortlessly combine with the more tailored Nico Top, Leo Vest and Ramona Shorts for a poetic dance of softness and structure, extravagance and grace. A harmony that is uniquely Marle.
A rich red vermilion, as seen in the Romma Top, Iris Skirt, Coco Pant and Elle Dress, brings a vibrancy to the collection, a nod to the unmatched confidence echoic of the city that never sleeps.
|“New York has an inimitable energy about it and for me, vermillion was the perfect representation of this. Bright, bold but effortlessly elegant and sophisticated, our vermillion pieces dance rhythmically between confidence and comfort, heroing outfits paired with ivory, black and clay,” says our Creative Director, Juliet Souter.|
The beloved Alma Sarong in signature crinkled linen returns, and this season, can be coupled with the Alma Top for ease and versatility.
“We’ve introduced several coordinating separates for this collection which are great when worn together for a tonal look but work back just as effortlessly with existing pieces in your wardrobe,” says Juliet.
Energised by special vintage pieces collected from a recent visit to New York - “Visiting the vintage stores in both Manhattan and Brooklyn, which both offer something so different, is always a highlight on a New York trip for me,” says Juliet - Right Down the Line is a tangible expression of the timelessness of good design, emboldened by antique detailing, delicate textures and bold, new shapes.
