A note from our Creative Director

We have always been inspired by the natural world, it's one of the reasons Marle exclusively works with natural fibres. They connect us to nature - reminding us of Mother Earth and our obligation to honour her but they also have the added benefit of feeling luxurious next to your skin.

The River Answer was born from a time where nature calmed me, steadied me and the intentional use of blue, in tones of ink and jade, suggest a connection to the ocean, to the sky, reminiscent of where I call home. The places that make me feel most myself.

I first started the design process with the fibre and fabric and from there, built the design with detail, proportions and fit. From signature sandwashed silk pieces, to textural knits and carefully curated separates, The River Answer, is a collection made up of classic and timeless pieces that feel like home to me. I hope they can wrap you in familiarity and bring you a sense of grounding too.
