Angel Divine
Where is your store located?

Queenstown, Otago, New Zealand.

What do you love about where you live?

There is a lot to love about Queenstown, but one thing we can all agree on is scenery, the mountains and crystal blue lakes are unbeatable. Queenstown has a city vibrancy, in a world class resort setting. We love that there is something for everyone here, eateries and ski fields that are 5 minutes out of town can feel like a world away.

What's your favourite thing to do / place to go in your area?

Gibbston Valley is full of beautiful Otago wineries. A favourite thing to do is getting a group of friends together and exploring the different wineries in close proximity to each other. It's so relaxing tasting a variety of local wines while admiring the panoramic views the valley has to offer.

Where would you recommend dining out?

We are spoilt for choice in Queenstown and you never have to go far to find good coffee or food. Bespoke Kitchen, Blue Kanu, Yonder and Eichardt's are all favourites in town. Wolf Coffee from Good Day, Akarua and Aosta are spots in Arrowtown we also love!

Ruby Rose
Where is your store located?

293 Alexandra Street, Te Awamutu.

What do you love about where you live?

We live in a small rural area where we have an awesome community vibe, and some amazing local businesses. Te Awamutu has become a destination shopping town with great cafes, fashion, and homewares.  We love that we are so central to both the east and west coast beaches as well as the ski mountains.

What's your favourite thing to do / place to go in your area?

Te Awamutu has a variety of scenic walks in the area, one being Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari. We also have the most gorgeous movie theatre  in town that has been here since 1932, filled with incredible memorabilia, which we absolutely love going to.

Where would you recommend dining out?

We enjoy dining at our local restaurants, cocktails and dinner at Half and Half, and having tapas on the deck at Fahrenheit.  We also have a new bar opening soon, 'the Storyteller', which we are super excited about.

Where is your store located?

Dunedin

What do you love about where you live?

We live in Oamaru which is about an hours drive north of Dunedin. We stay a few nights each week in Dunedin so we have the best of both worlds. We love the student vibe of Dunedin and the business of working in the middle of the city.

What's your favourite thing to do / place to go in your area?

In Oamaru we have the historic precinct which is always good for a wander around with all the little shops or a walk with the dogs around the gardens. In Dunedin definitely shopping and eating out!

Where would you recommend dining out?

So many good choices! We love eating out in Dunedin, Buster Greens Real Food Room and Balmac No 7 would be two of our favourites!

Contain
Where is your store located?

Contain is located on the Coromandel, in the beautiful beach town of Whangamata.

What do you love about where you live?

The ease of living, our beautiful surroundings and no traffic! Everything is a minutes drive or you can just walk if you’re on “Whanga Time”. Our two children have the best lifestyle and freedom and certainly make the most of their surroundings.

What's your favourite thing to do / place to go in your area?

Anything nature. Our beach is renowned for being one of the most beautiful beaches in the country, so getting down there is always a treat.  Jumping on our boat, fishing and exploring the water is our escape from everyday life, Slipper Island is the most amazing day trip if you ever get the chance. I also love running, so heading up to the Wentworth Valley is a great way to get some peace and quiet and explore nature. Our Weekend Markets are a must do too.

Where would you recommend dining out?

Port Road Project is one of our go to’s, the food is exceptional and a glass of bubbles is always on my order! Dee’s Streetery is a new Mexican Cafe right beside the water, in the Marina area, it is super fresh and delicious. Doughnuts….if you can find the Dandelion Truck, you’ve found the best doughnuts in the world!

47 Frocks
Where is your store located?

Wanaka, the best little town down south!

What do you love about where you live?

Wanaka itself is reason enough to love living here, it's beautiful!

What's your favourite thing to do / place to go in your area?

The shopping is great, and this isn't a biased plug, but Wanaka is full of great local boutique stores  from clothing to interiors. Also anywhere outdoors is great here, we are very lucky.

Where would you recommend dining out?

Kika, Fudog and the Maude tasting room are our favourite local spots.

Garwood
Where is your store located?

My shop, Garwood, is in Fitzroy. A small village suburb in New Plymouth right by Fitzroy beach.

What do you love about where you live?

Having grown up and lived in the UK, nowhere near the coast, I love living in a town by the sea - sunny, rainy or windy, it's just beautiful. There always seems to be something going on - art tours, arts festivals, garden festivals, concerts - it's always busy and there's so much creativity.

What's your favourite thing to do / place to go in your area?

I love exploring all the local walkways, hidden paths, beaches, lakes and parks when we take our dog for a walk. I especially love Pukekura Park, set right in the centre of New Plymouth. It's a beautiful place to walk around at any time of the year but super pretty at Christmas when it's the backdrop for the Festival of Lights. It's also home to the Bowl of Brooklands - the most stunning outdoor venue for concerts.

Where would you recommend dining out?

This is such a hard one to answer, there really are so many great cafes and restaurants in New Plymouth but I would say that the recently opened Vin Bar in Fitzroy is one of my favourites for a drink - it's just round the corner from my shop so very dangerous! If you want to treat yourself to a guaranteed good meal and a fun night, head to Social Kitchen ... The Hour Glass is great and, if it's just a coffee, you're spoilt for choice, you can't go wrong, but Emmalou or Paris Plage, in the summer, are two of my favourites.
